Born as the daughter of the mountain king Himavat (Himalayas) after the self-immolation of Goddess Sati, she represents pure, unyielding resolve and the embodiment of Mother Earth. Seated serenely upon Nandi the sacred bull, with a crescent moon adorning her forehead, she holds the trident in her right hand representing the cosmic forces of creation, preservation, and dissolution, and a blossoming lotus in her left hand symbolizing spiritual unfolding and purity. In yogic sadhana, worshipping Shailaputri awakens the Muladhara (Root Chakra), establishing an unshakeable foundation for spiritual elevation.
