Early Life & Calling: Born as Sathyanarayana Raju on November 23, 1926, in the remote village of Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. On October 20, 1940, at the age of 14, he cast aside his books and declared his divine mission: 'I am Sai Baba. I have come to guide humanity along the path of Truth and Love.'
Spiritual Descent & Method: He established Prasanthi Nilayam ('Abode of Highest Peace') as a global center for Vedic chanting, universal interfaith bhajan singing, and character-building education. His life was an unbroken demonstration of selfless love in action.
Major Contribution: Built two Super Specialty Hospitals in Puttaparthi and Bengaluru providing world-class cardiac, neurological, and kidney surgeries 100% free of charge to all patients.
Major Contribution: Executed the Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Supply Project, providing clean piped drinking water to over 750 drought-prone villages in Andhra Pradesh and Krishna water to Chennai.
Mahasamadhi & Living Presence: Attained Mahasamadhi on April 24, 2011. His sacred physical form is enshrined in the Maha Samadhi sanctum in Sai Kulwant Hall, Prasanthi Nilayam, where millions continue to draw peace.
